Year-End Recap. Review common issues with year end W-2 processing and discuss when a W-2C is required. Talk about the new W-4 and implementation of tax updates. Review PA State income tax withholding for out of state 1099 vendors requirements and the resulting issues to reconcile with payroll. Additional update on electronic filing changes for PAUC.


Tina Frysinger, CPP

Tina Frysinger, CPP - Tina is a Technology Manager with Schneider Downs, a regional accounting firm headquartered in Pittsburgh. For the past seven years, she has specialized in HR and Payroll integrated solutions, managing HRIS implementations. During this time, Tina has worked with businesses of various sizes and in a variety of industries. Prior to working with Schneider Downs, Tina worked as a Controller with an Energy Savings Contractor, responsible for Financial Reporting and Payroll Management. Tina received her Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Robert Morris University and more recently received her M.B.A. from Duquesne University.

Review the common misconceptions and help to explain the scalability of an RPA's. Discuss considerations and possible limitations of an RPA and when it is appropriate to use them. Explore best practices in implementing RPA's and the investment, development and technical requirements for RPA's. Finally, review opportunities to use them in the payroll environment to help streamline and add control to cumbersome processes.


Adam M. Costa, CCSP, CISA

Adam M. Costa, CCSP, CISA - Adam is an RPA Architect in the Technology Advisors group with Schneider Downs. He is in charge of the day-to-day management of RPA implementations and has more than 19 years of experience in IT system implementation and leading application development projects. Prior to joining Schneider Downs, Adam served for 13 years as a software consultant for a Fortune 500 technology company, where he implemented banking, insurance, retail and manufacturing application systems. In addition to his development experience, Adam holds Certified Cloud Security Professional and Certified Information System Auditor certifications, along with a number of software product certifications. He has managed numerous software development and audit engagements projects. Adam is a member of ISACA, the Institute of Internal Auditors and (ISC)2. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from Purdue University.
